You and your family are always our main priority here at Lothian Maternity Support (LMS).

We were formed to augment and enhance the regular maternity care available to women and their families within Edinburgh, Lothians and beyond. We provide an individualised, one to one service, where you and your family are our main focus. We will provide you with the same maternity practitioner throughout the duration of your service, ensuring continuity of care for all of our women & their families. Postnatal care is an area which is widely recognised by new parents, family & friends which could be greatly improved in some areas. Sadly, postnatal care is often described as the “Cinderella Service "- Cathy Warwick,Chief Executive Royal College of Midwives (2017). Furthermore, Netmum’s the UK’s biggest parenting website offering local information, parenting advice, have also recognised postnatal care as an area of improvement and have since launched a campaign for improved postnatal care.
